About us

BNU Boxing provides weekly training sessions that are suitable for all fitness levels, it doesn't matter if you're a beginner or have boxed before. Sessions are led by brilliant professional coaches in a kitted-out boxing club based in Wycombe. 

No training session is the same; we have a variety of cardio and core fitness workouts, circuits, and boxing skills that will introduce you or progress you into boxing for fun or competitively. It won’t be long until you’re in the ring sparring!

Our fight night event at the end of the year is a highlight for many of our members. Those who put in the hard work at the sessions and go the extra mile will have the opportunity to enter the ring at the Students’ Union to fight competitively!

The society class takes place every Thursday (6-7pm) at High Wycombe Warriors Boxing Club, Unit 3 Fryers Works, Abercrombie Avenue. Meeting beforehand outside University’s SU / Venue doors at 5.15pm to gather members, fulfil the register and make any necessary checks before making the journey to the gym. The sessions start off with basic boxing fitness training with a semi intense warmup going into technique training. Then later into the session members are given the option to either spar with other boxing society members or to further focus on technique training, no pressure to do either one! It’s all your choice.

There are no requirements to join beyond the waiver but if you wish to spar, a concussion test (done free by the uni) is required, your own gumshield as well as handwraps.

Boxing gloves (14oz preferred) as well as your own protective headgear are recommended but will be provided per session.

Here’s a little sneak peak of what the classes consist of to get you pumped up. Each class has a different focus, usually ending with everyone’s favorite activity, sparring!
