Green and sustainability

At Bucks, we are passionate about improving people’s knowledge on the current green and sustainability issues whilst tackling our most negative impacts. Each year we complete Green Impact which is an accreditation from NUS tackling our issues and improving awareness on campus. In 2017-18 we received a ‘Very Good' status and would like to continue with this in 2018-19.

Through the scheme we promote green initatives, as well as offering you deals to make it easier for you to lower your carbon footprint, save money and keep healthy. These include free bike hire and deals on hot drinks!

We also work with several local charities who advertise a variety of green opportunities to get involved with. This includes gardening club at Wycombe Museum, food sorting at One Can Trust and local litter picks.

SSHH bus & Campus link bus

Bucks Students’ Union provides a free night bus on a Wednesday and Friday night (the most popular nights out) for students to get home safely and quietly. After midnight the bus starts taking students home to anywhere in High Wycombe that they need to go. Just jump on the bus and tell the driver where you’re heading to, and they will take you for free!
