What are ambassadors?
There are a range of ambassador roles available for you to stand in. They're open to all students who will be continuing their studies next academic year. So whether you want to lead the way in our fundraising efforts or take a stand for sustainability on campus, there's something for you.
Food Sustainability Ambassadors
As a Food Sustainability Ambassador, you will be responsible for the organisation, recruitment, development and management of the organised projects, with the opportunity to run your own events as well as be an ambassador for the Students’ Union.
The Food Sustainability Ambassadors are required to:
- Liaise with external Food banks and charities
- Recruit members
- Represent the interest of the student body in any meetings
- Responsible for campaigns and projects, liaising with the Students’ Union and Sabbatical Officers on equality and food
- Have an overall responsibility for promoting the different food banks and projects
- Encourage members of the University to partake in charitable activities
- Explore different ideas regarding food sustainability to help the Union make life better for students’ at BNU

RAG Ambassadors
As RAG Ambassador you are responsible for liaising with charities and organisations, volunteers and the Students’ Union with the main aim of raising money for the chosen RAG Charities.
The RAG Ambassador is required to:
- liaise with the two chosen RAG charities, volunteers and the Activities Coordinator (Volunteering & Charity Fundraising)
- recruit members
- advertise and attend fundraising events
- have overall responsibility for fundraising and RAG successes
- encourage members of the University to partake in charitable activities

Green Ambassadors
As Green Ambassador you are required to liaise the Students’ Union and represent the interests of sustainability around campus and look towards developing further plans on green issues at Bucks.
The Green Ambassador is required to:
- liaise with volunteers, green charities, the Ethical and Environmental committee, and the Activities Coordinator (Volunteering & Charity Fundraising)
- advertise green events throughout the year
- have overall responsibility for championing green issues and sustainability at Bucks, and its successes
- encourage members of the University to partake in Green activities
- work alongside the Activities Coordinator (Volunteering & Charity Fundraising) to complete the NUS Green Impact accreditation
- encourage and advertise sustainability feedback surveys.

Fairtrade Ambassador
As Fairtrade Ambassador, you will be responsible for the organisation, recruitment, development and management of Fairtrade projects already planned, with the flexibility to implement your own ideas and plans.
The Fairtrade Ambassador is required to:
- liaise with volunteers, local Fairtrade groups, the Environmental, Sustainability & Fairtrade committee, and the Activities Coordinator (Volunteering & Charity Fundraising)
- advertise Fairtrade events throughout the year
- have overall responsibility for championing Fairtrade issues at Bucks, and their successes
- encourage members of the University to partake in Fairtrade activities.

One Can Trust Ambassador
TheOne Can Trust ambassador is required to
- promote the One Can Trust volunteering opportunity every 2 weeks
- liaise with the contact at One Can Trust and recruit volunteers to attend.
