What is an NUS Delegate?
Every year, our NUS Delegates represent Bucks Students' Union at the National Union of Students National Conference.
We are affiliated with the National Union of Students (NUS), which offers a platform for students to discuss, debate, and campaign for change on a host of matters that are important to students studying in the UK.
The NUS National Conference brings together students from every University and College in the country to discuss, influence and decide national policy. Each delegate will get the unique opportunity to bring back ideas they learn from the conference - which can directly impact the experience for BNU students. Additionally, the NUS Officers are also elected by the delegates at the conference.
The role of NUS Delegates includes:
- Representing BNU students on issues at the NUS Conference.
- Engaging with the national student movement and future direction of Higher Education.
- Voting in the NUS elections on behalf of our members.
Threw NUS Delegates are elected each year. One position is reserved for a student who self-identify as a woman, and three positions are open to all students
A fourth position is held by your current Students' Union President.
This year's NUS national conference will take place April 2024
Make sure you're logged in using your BlackBoard details to begin your nomination. Nominations close at noon on Friday 13 October 2023.
