Overview

Official figures show that the number of students to drop out of university with mental health problems has more than trebled in recent years. We want to empower our students to look after their mental health and to keep talking about it.

Tuesday 10th October is World Mental Health Day, we are holding an event in the Study Lounge 12-2pm, it is not to be missed! We have a special performance from Acapella Society between 12.15-12.30 and Performing Arts student Taylor Gray will be performing a poem she has written about her experiences.

We also have a vast array of activities to get involved in –

Free Thai Food from a popular local restaurant!

It’s All In The Balance, a game where you can attempt to balance out different aspects of your life. Once you have a go, your name will be entered into a competition where you can win a giant inflatable lounger!

Henna Body Art by Yoga Society

Biscuit Decorating, customise your biscuit with a green Mental Health Awareness ribbon!

Positive Post-Its, write a message of encouragement for you fellow students!

Wycombe Mind will be pushing around their giant Worlds!

Trees of Life, an activity where you can make your very own pendant.

The Advice Centre on hand to talk about their services.

Health and Wellbeing Stall.

Looking forward to seeing you all there!
