Join business owners, professionals, and community-minded entrepreneurs from across Nottingham for an evening of genuine conversation, collaboration, and fresh ideas — all in the stylish surroundings of Sheriff House.

At Spark Business Networking, we do things a little differently.

Our events are designed to feel structured, but relaxed. We believe networking should be about building real relationships, not just collecting business cards or rushing through a quick pitch. Whether you are a confident networker or walking into your first event, you will be welcomed into a supportive room where conversations feel natural, introductions matter, and people genuinely want to help each other grow.

Every Tuesday and Thursday, 8:30am - 10am from the Students' Union Office.

Find us on the 1st floor of the Uxbridge campus (just round the corner from Pulse).

Thorpe Park is a very accessible park, with the ability to use a Ride Access Pass to guests who may find it difficult or cannot stand for long periods of time either due to a physical disability or a learning/emotional impairment. Each ride has their own set of restrictions which must be adhered to at all times, some of which are due to ride restraints, forces or sometimes due to additional requirements if the ride has stopped and guests are required to exit before reaching the station.

In 1925, Lon Chaney terrified audiences with his signature ghoulish make-up as the murderous and mysterious Phantom, sparking the flame for endless adaptations, countless pop culture references, and a hit West End musical. Yet another adaptation is rumoured to be in production, with even Guillermo del Toro throwing his name in the hat following his 2025 film of that other misunderstood Universal Monster, Frankenstein.

But what is it about the story of an angry incel living in the bowels of the Paris Opera House that has kept public interest going for over a hundred years?

In this 3-hour session, we’ll dive into the origins of the story, tracking through time as the Phantom develops from genius madman to romantic Byronic hero, to vicious killer and back again.

Adaptations covered include Andrew Lloyd Webber, Joel Schumacher, Dario Argento, Brian de Palma and Terence Fisher to name just a few.

Masks and capes welcome, but please leave your noose at home.

All meals are vegetarian, and we aim to make them as cheap as possible so you can keep making them. All recipe cards have optional added extras that you can buy and put into the meal yourself, whether that is chicken breast, cheese or sausages. The recipes change every month so you can try a variety of recipes.

Fancy Volunteering during the summer and helping children with Activities

Children from the ages of 4 until 11 can join us for a week of fun on Buryfield, Great Missenden, each day from 10:00 - 15:30.

They will be involved in sports, craft and Bible teaching throughout the day. We also run an adult and toddler morning session called 'Toddler Lighthouse' for our youngest attendees (no pre-registration is required).

What?

The Free Breakfasts project derived from the cost-of-living campaign run by Bucks Students' Union to make sure you are fed and well. The campaign aims to tackle food poverty within the student community at BNU, supplying free breakfasts to students at the Nottingham campus on the first week of every month in the mornings.

All meals are vegetarian and halal. Gluten-free option available.

Letting Grow wants to influence a generation to love, care and support our beautiful planet.
We curate workshops, courses and away days for inner city schools and urban communities to improve people's connection with nature.
We've turned unused areas in playgrounds into thriving allotments, grown fruit and veg for school kitchens and run tree planting initiatives.
Creating accessible and inclusive green spaces is at the centre of what we do. We offer a chance for everybody to get outside, get their hands dirty and experience nature.

Letting Grow is transforming the outdoor space at Greenford Library into a new community garden.
What is currently an underused grass area will become an accessible green space for local residents, community groups, young people and wildlife. The garden will include growing areas, sensory planting, seating spaces and habitats for pollinators, creating a welcoming place for
people to connect with nature.
This is an opportunity to be involved from the very beginning and help create a lasting community asset for Greenford. Individuals and groups are welcome.

Meet us at 10.30am at the vehicle entrance to Chairborough LNR - a gate situated off Chairborough Road, by McLellan Place, HP12 3UL. W3W: items.charmingly.tanks. Free parking is available on Chairborough Road but please park considerately and car share where possible.

If you would like a lift to the site, we have space in one of our vehicles for a limited number of people. We will be leaving from our depot at 9.45am prompt and will return you there after the session. The address is Kingsmead Depot, 60 Fennels Road, High Wycombe, HP11 1SL. If you do need a lift, please book a separate ticket for that as well as an 'add-on'.

The Task:

Come along for a lovely morning in nature, connecting with other women and discovering the hidden delights of this beautiful nature reserve. We will have some time for a guided exploration of nature on the site and also join in a variety of light conservation tasks.

What to Bring:

Bring along gardening gloves if you have them (we will have plenty of spares) and dress for the weather and the task - long trousers are advisable to protect against ticks and thorny vegetation.

12,000 new Black heritage donors, to meet the growing demand for ethnically matched blood for sickle cell patients who need regular transfusions to stay alive
more young people aged 17-35 to donate, to ensure we have enough blood for the future

Sign up for this self-guided Treasure Hunt themed Trail! As you follow the route, you'll encounter sneaky clues hidden on existing buildings, permanent features, and monuments, leading you to the location of the buried treasure.

Starting at the swimming baths, the circular route takes you on a journey through both rural and urban areas, giving you a taste of the town's past as a renowned furniture maker.

Once upon a time, the High Street was filled with bustling coaching inns, as it was a popular stop on the road from London to Oxford. But, it was also a haven for the notorious highwayman, I. Gotchaloot, who boasted about his ability to outsmart all of his fellow thieves combined. In just a few short years, he amassed a great fortune before retiring to an island off the coast, taking his ill-gotten gains with him. But now, a map and a list of Clues have been discovered in the basement of one of the coaching inns where Gotchaloot used to frequent. The Exploration Society has enlisted the help of their BEST adventurers to follow the Clues and uncover the hidden treasure. Are YOU up for the challenge?

Imagine strolling through a lively street food market, where the aroma of local cuisine from various islands fills the air. From jerk chicken and curry goat to conch fritters and roti, your taste buds will be transported to a foodie paradise. But that’s not all!

This international food festival offers:

Live music stage featuring reggae and soca beats that’ll have you swaying to the rhythm

Access infomation: There is a first aid tent and toilets available. Please note the Rye is grass and it can be uneven in places.
