Candidate Requirements & Job Description
Successful candidate (s) will be competent to perform at consistently high standards in a school environment. They will also:
? Be available during the academic year holidays.
? Be able to coach students aged 4-16 in a variety of different sports and team building sessions.
? Be able to plan, set up and deliver high quality, educational and fun coaching sessions and programmes that will develop our students physically and as well rounded individuals.
? Be a role model to the students and display the qualities that support our ‘Training for Life’ ethos as well as encourage and develop the students to do the same.
? Be willing and able to commit to our coaching team with positivity and enthusiasm.

Successful candidate (s) will have excellent knowledge of and qualifications in sports coaching, which should include:
? Minimum 1 x NGB Level 2 Coaching Certificate plus additional L1 qualifications
? L2 Supporting Learning in PE and School Sport (PESS) (highly beneficial)
? L2 Multi-Skills Development (highly beneficial)
? Child Protection Certificate *available in house
? First Aid Certificate * available in house
? Enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) clearance and/or no convictions (mandatory) *check available in house
? Further educational or vocational qualifications in sport or related areas (not mandatory)
? Experience and knowledge of working with children & young people (highly beneficial)
? Competent in literacy & numeracy
