Bucks Students' Union represents and supports over 9,000 students who study at Bucks New University. We are committed to ensuring our members' student experience is the best that is possibly can be and that includes reaching out to where they live.

We have a good working relationship with the District Council and Thames Valley Police. We have also recently created a working partnership with Neighbourhood Watch. You can find more information about the partnership here.

Community volunteering

We've seen over 517 students volunteer with us this year (2018-19). These students volunteer in many ways and have helped charities and organisations such as Child Bereavement, Rye View Manor, One Can Trust, Girl Guiding and many more.

If you have volunteering opportunities you would like to advertise, please email

In partnership with Wycombe District Council and Thames Valley Police, we have produced a Community Guide to promote the importance of living safely and sensibly in the community. We hope that the guide will lead to an increase our members' knowledge of the local area and the ins and outs of living independently in a new community.

We are really proud of the positive contribution we make to the community and truly believe that our members play and important part in this, supporting economic growth, providing a workforce, and having an active role in the local area. We are committed to working with community partners to improve the reputation of our members in the communities.

You can view the latest edition of the Communtiy Guide above.
