Each year, elections are held for our three sabbatical officer positions. The three sabbatical positions are full-time and form our sabbatical team and help deliver the student experience that we are so passionate about.

Vice President Education and Welfare

Hi! I’m Brooke, your Vice President Education and Welfare. I am one of the three Sabbatical Officers that will be representing all the students to make your life better at Bucks.

As a student I was involved in the Union since my first year. From being part of the Dance Club to then being elected as the Treasurer in my second and third year. This was when I started to find out more about all the other amazing opportunities the Students’ Union has to offer all of its’ members. There were times during my degree where I did not enjoy it as much as I had hoped I would, so by being a member and getting involved in the Students’ Union really made my time at Bucks worthwhile. This led me to the decision to run to be your Vice President Education and Welfare. Since winning the election I have become more and more excited that I get to represent and support you all.

My role on the sabbatical team is to ensure that you are getting the most from your academic experience whilst at Bucks. I will be representing you in University meetings and making sure your voice is heard. I will work closely alongside the Advice Centre and Representation teams to make sure your course is delivering the best for you. Along with this I will be running many campaigns on your student Welfare to ensure you are all looking after yourself during your time at University.

I am here to support your course and wellbeing needs so whatever it is pop into my office and I will be happy to have a chat about anything whether it be a problem, a campaign or just a friendly face to talk to. I am here to support you all!

Priorities this year

  1. To continue working on students’ mental health and well-being alongside the University.
  2. Working to ensure that you are getting the most from your course.
  3. Continuing to support and improve opportunities to help make you the most employable graduates.
