Student representation

You are here:

Represent your peers by becoming a Student Rep for your course

Representation at Bucks ensures that you are getting the most out of your academic experience and provides the opportunity to initiate change.

To achieve this, the Students' Union has a vast network of student reps, who work to bring about the changes that you and your course want to see. Student reps also have the opportunity to inform your lecturers about good practice on the course and what elements you are enjoying.

On the BSc Nursing courses, each personal tutor group will have one student rep who represents their classmates.

Other smaller courses such as the PG Dip and FD Assistant Practitioner course, there will be one student rep per year group.

Being a student rep is a fantastic leadership opportunity to take on alongside your studies and is a great addition to your CV. You'll learn time management and organisation skills, project management, and be able to instigate real change for yourself and your peers. You'll also be fully trained up and supported by the Students' Union.

At Bucks, we're also really lucky that thanks to The Big Deal, we are able to financially reward our reps. As a student rep, you can earn up to £100 for the work you complete.

If you would like to become one of the Students' Union's paid student reps, you can find out more about the role and pick up a nomination form by coming into the SU office on the first floor. If you are already an elected student rep you can also pick up any relevant forms, handbooks and information about your meetings in the office.

If you do not have a student rep for your course or have any questions please email suuxbridge@bucks.ac.uk and we will get back to you.
