About Me

Describe your role
My role focuses on the co-corricular aspect of the Students' Union. I get to work with the student activities team in everything from sports clubs to societies as well as the charitable fundraising events and volunteering. I'm here to provide you with the opportunity to take part in activities you may never have done before. I also work with our training and development team to support you in developing new skills, gaining new qualifications, and boosting your employability so you can smash all of your career goals and ace your interviews. As well as all this, my role as a Sabbatical Officer means I also sit on the Union's trustee board to ensure that we're sticking to our principles and making life better for students at Bucks. If you want to get in touch, you can pop into my office or email me on vpsi@bucks.ac.uk.
Why did you run for the role?
Throughout my university experience Bucks Students’ Union gave me so many unique opportunities; skills sessions, chances to compete, I took part in the leadership academy, gained over 400 volunteering hours and went on so many of those all-important nights out! Bucks Students’ Union helped me to have the best and most fulfilling university experience possible… so I decided to go for the role of VPSI to help students make the most of everything the Students’ Union offers, and have an amzing experience just like I did and give them opportunities to carry forward into their life after university.
What are your priorities for the year?
- More is always more and I'd love to have more opportunities for students to enhance their experience
- Create a programme of events to include celebrations of religious and cultural festivals
- Support more students in building their CV with volunteering opportunities and leadership roles
- The one I cannot miss out, win Varsity 2023!
What about when you're off-duty?
When I’m not in the office I’ll most likely be dancing! Either that or eating… I’m a massive foodie and I’m always looking to try new things so any recipes or restaurant recommendations I will happily take.
What's your favourite ice-cream flavour?
I’m actually lactose intolerant but like most of us who are “scared of milk”, it doesn’t stop me from eating a tub of Ben & Jerry’s Chocolate Fudge Brownie.
