Students at Bucks are important to us from the day they apply and remain part of our community evermore. When you finish your course of study, we want to stay in touch and continue to support you in making the most of your time at University.
Bucks Students' Union has created the alumni network - a package designed to support our members after graduation and allow them to continue to benefit from the free opportunities offered by the Big Deal. Across the year, Bucks New University graduate will receive the following benefits:
Alumni of Bucks New University may get involved and engage in any of Bucks Students’ Union services or activities as long as it doesn’t incur any additional financial costs.
Social events
Alumni may attend any and all social events, in The Venue, free of charge – unless otherwise stated on promotional material. Proof of student status, in the form of an old ID card, is required for free entry.
Advice Centre
Alumni may seek free advice regarding issues encountered during their time as a student or with the University. Advisors reserve the right to refuse service if they feel the issues concerned reach beyond the specified parameters.
Societies and Sport for Fun
If alumni wish to take part in society or Sport for Fun activities, they must contact the Student Activities Coordinator (Recreational Sport and Societies) to discuss if their participation would lead to any cost or insurance implications.
Competitive sport
Alumni cannot compete in competitive sports teams due to British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) regulations.
Volunteering and charitable fundraising
Alumni participating in volunteering or fundraising events may be encourages for certain opportunities but should always be discussed with the Student Activities Manager first.
Training and development
Any alumni wanting to benefit from any training or development session must get in touch with the Human Resources Manager to discuss feasibility. the free access to our developmental and skills and training packages has been extended to graduating students of classes 2019-20 and 2020-21.
