About T2:
T2 is a popular English record producer and bassline DJ who released the standout hit ‘Heartbroken’. With a dedicated following and samples of his tracks used by the likes of DJ Khaled and Drake, T2 is a rising talent with an act unlike any other. Born in Leeds, Tafadzwa Tawonezvi otherwise known as T2 is a DJ with his roots in the popular bassline house movement of the early 2000s. Originating from Sheffield, bassline house is an upbeat genre with an emphasis on bass and plays at over 130 beats per minute. Bassline weaves melodic vocals with intricate basslines to create a unique genre popular with grime, garage and house fans. For many years, bassline was an underground music scene predominantly played in the West Midlands and the North. T2’s release of ‘Heartbroken’ brought this genre to the mainstream with grime MC Skepta reportedly admitting audiences as far as Greece and Cyprus had requested ‘Heartbroken’ in clubs. T2’s single was a smash hit and with vocals supplied by Jodie Aysha reached number two on the UK Singles Charts. The song was also a major hit on YouTube with over three million views and counting with the music video featuring cameo appearances from popular English footballers Anton Ferdinand and Micah Richards. The online success of the single was prophetic of the popularity of internet platforms to come and placed T2 perfectly to take the world by storm.
