Overview

Schizophrenia is a mental health condition which affects around 1 in 100 people at some point in their life. Our awareness course is designed for health care professionals and is also ideal for anyone looking to support someone with Schizophrenia. During the session you will learn of the variety of issues faced by those with this condition, as well as the best practices to help manage these. 

Outline of Programme

  • Introduction to Schizophrenia.
  • Symptoms and diagnosis.
  • Causes of Schizophrenia.
  • Types of Schizophrenia and their characteristics.
  • Treatment methods.
  • Consequent risks.

Assessment

You may be expected to engage in a number of group activities. Our experienced trainers will be on hand to help guide participants through these sessions and a certificate will be awarded upon completion.
