Level 2 Award in Door Supervision

The British Institute of Innkeeping Awarding Body (BIIAB) Level 2 Award in Door Supervision is a nationally recognised qualification and is endorsed by the SIA and regulated by Ofqual.

 

Guided learning hours: 30 hours across four days (please note that from early 2015, this course will be running across five days)

 

Learning outcomes:

The qualification comprises four mandatory units:

 

Unit 1: Working in the private security industry

Unit 2: Working as a door supervisor

Unit 3: Conflict management for the private security industry

Unit 4: Physical intervention skills for the private security industry

 

Assessment:

Unit 1 – 25 question multiple choice exam paper

Unit 2 – 40 question multiple choice exam paper

Unit 3 – 25 question multiple choice exam paper

Unit 4 – On-going practical assessment throughout the course by the tutor, and ten true or false questions that will be marked by the tutor

Certified outcome: Successful completion of this course enables a door supervisor to meet one of the requirements to apply for their personal licence. Further information can be found on the SIA website.
