Overview

This course is designed to promote an understanding of emotional intelligence, the role of emotions and strategies to control difficult emotions.

Aims and Objectives

At the end of this workshop, participants will feel more confident to:

·        Introduce emotional intelligence (EI) by defining what it is and explaining why it is important

·        Understand what the purpose of our emotions are and the link between mind, body and behaviour

·        Understand our trigger points, tolerance zones and the impact of autopilot

·        Learn about different forms of problem solving and find a strategy that works for to help regulate emotions

·        Consider how thought patterns govern emotional responses

·        Have signposting for contacts to help with our mental health
