Overview

Guided learning hours: 5-6 hours

Learning outcomes:

  • the role of the first aider
  • managing an emergency
  • communication and casualty care
  • bleeding (minor and severe)
  • burns
  • choking (adults)
  • fainting
  • health and safety (first aid) regulations
  • resuscitation (adult CPR)
  • seizures (adult)
  • shock
  • unconscious casualty.

Assessment: Continuous observation by the trainer and a small number of practical demonstrations

Certified outcome: Three-year certificate

We are offering you this for free but we do require a £5 deposit for the session. This will be returned after you have attended the class.
