Food and Beverage Assistant (Student Staff Team)
Location: High Wycombe campus with travel as required to Uxbridge Campus and Brunel Engine Shed.
Pay: £13.46 per hour including annual leave allowance
Hours: Part time, up to 20 hours per week, Monday to Sunday
Contract: Temporary
Main Purpose of the job:
To ensure the provision of a high-quality service is championed at all times and generally assist in revenue generation and stock control within the Students’ Union catering operation.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: (in no particular order)
- Work with the catering team in the day-to-day operations of commercial activities within agreed standards, procedures and parameters.
- Provide efficient and appropriate service to both internal and external customers, showing high standards of customer care at all times.
- Operate tills, taking payment in line with set procedures.
- Handle stock and equipment in a secure manner.
- Ensure that adequate filling of displays as and when necessary.
- Replenish stocks appropriate to demand and be accountable for control and storage of that stock.
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of food for resale.
- Observe and work within health, safety, hygiene and other regulations pertaining to the operation of the premises.
- Report any potential hazards to the Head Chef/ Chef de Partie.
- Keep all food areas clean and tidy before, during and after operating hours and undertake cleaning duties as directed.
