Quint Education is currently recruiting passionate and qualified Nursery Practitioners and Playworkers for positions across all London boroughs. We are looking for individuals who are committed to supporting children's development and wellbeing in nursery, early years, and after-school settings.
Whether they are seeking full-time, part-time, or temporary work, we want to hear from candidates who meet the essential criteria and are ready to make a positive impact in a childcare environment for these summer roles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead engaging activities for children aged 0–5
- Support children’s learning and development through the EYFS framework
- Supervise safe and stimulating indoor and outdoor play
- Encourage creativity, communication, and social skills
- Provide care routines such as feeding, changing, and settling children
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming play environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues
- Record observations and report concerns appropriately
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
- Level 2 or 3 Childcare/Early Years Qualification (CACHE, NCFE, City & Guilds, Pearson)
- Enhanced DBS (or willing to obtain one)
- Minimum of 3 references
- Passionate about working with children, at list 6 months experience
- Basic understanding of safeguarding and EYFS
Desirable:
- Paediatric First Aid
- Experience in nurseries, schools, or play settings
- SEN experience or training: If possible
