Job Summary

Duties

• Assist in the preparation of ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
• Support chefs with cooking tasks, ensuring meals are prepared to high standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
• Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled properly and safely.
• Help with inventory management by organizing supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels.
• Participate in catering events as needed, assisting with meal setup and service.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely meal service during busy periods.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required.
• Basic cooking skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques are essential.
• Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking methods are advantageous.
• Understanding of food safety standards and practices is necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.21-£14.50 per hour
