An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Part-Time Room Attendant to join our dynamic team at The Langley Hotel & Spa, a Luxury Collection Hotel by Marriott.

The Langley Hotel opened its doors on 1st June 2019, following an extensive six-year renovation. Working alongside the award-winning Dennis Irvine Studio, the multi-million-pound renovation has transformed the historic Grade II-listed Langley Park House from a dilapidated former private home into a majestic countryside icon, and a hotel that encompasses the modern sensibilities and aspirations of the modern traveller.

The former country estate, The Langley is a luxury hotel and spa in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside. The hotel has 41 exquisite rooms and suites with the height of sophistication and refinement.

Job Role

We are seeking a dedicated Room Attendant (Part-Time) to join our team. This role is vital in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and comfort that our guests expect, contributing to our commitment to exceptional hospitality and service excellence.

This is a part-time position working 25 hours per week. Shifts will be discussed at interview and will be based around the operational needs of the hotel.

General duties will include:

  • Clean and prepare guest rooms and suites to The Langley’s exacting five-star standards
  • Conduct a thorough inspection of each room upon completion, checking all amenities, lighting, temperature settings, and presentation details before signing off to the highest standard
  • Replenish and arrange in-room amenities, toiletries, and soft furnishings with precision and care, ensuring everything is perfectly positioned and nothing is overlooked
  • Identify and report maintenance issues, damage, or safety concerns promptly and accurately
  • Handle guest belongings with the utmost care, discretion, and respect, maintaining strict confidentiality and adhering to lost property procedures
  • Manage housekeeping trolleys and cleaning equipment responsibly, ensuring they are stocked, well presented, and compliant with health and safety standards throughout your shift
  • Support the wider housekeeping team during peak periods, room turnarounds, and special guest requests, adapting flexibly to the needs of the hotel and its guests

The ideal Room Attendant will have:

  • Previous experience working as a Room Attendant or in a similar housekeeping role within a luxury or 4/5-star hotel environment
  • A thorough understanding of professional room cleaning procedures, presentation standards, and quality benchmarks
  • An innate eye for detail
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm, welcoming, and professional manner
  • A collaborative team spirit and genuine pride in contributing to a shared standard of excellence
  • A polished, well-presented appearance
  • The resilience and physical stamina to work efficiently across a full shift in a fast paced, high standards environment
