Students' Union Ambassador Roles 2026/27

RAG - As RAG Ambassador you are responsible for:

  • Liaise with the chosen RAG charity , volunteers and the Activities Coordinator (Volunteering & Charity Fundraising)   
  • Advertise and attend fundraising events 
  • You have responsibility for fundraising and RAG successes with support from the Fundraising coordinator 
  • Encourage members of the University to partake in charitable activities 
  • Come up with fundraising ideas and execute the “event”

 

Green - As Green Ambassador you are required to:

  •  Liaise with volunteers, green charities, the Ethical and Environmental committee, and the Activities Coordinator (Volunteering & Charity Fundraising)
  •  You have responsibility for championing green issues and sustainability at Bucks, along side the Bucks Students' Union staff
  •  Encourage members of the University to partake in green activities
  •  Work alongside the Activities Coordinator (Volunteering & Charity Fundraising) to complete the NUS Green Impact accreditation
  •   Attend Environmental, Sustainability and Fairtrade committee meetings

 

Food Sustainability - The Food Sustainability Ambassadors are required to:

  •   Liaise with external food banks and charities
  •  Recruit members
  •   Represent the interest of the student body in any meetings
  •  Responsible for campaigns and projects, liaising with the Students’ Union and Sabbatical Officers on food equality

 

Bucks New Usage - The Bucks New Usage Ambassador are required to:

  •   Organise the stock of Bucks New Usage
  •  Making sure all the items are clean and safe to be displayed
  •  Opening Bucks New Usage once a week
  •  Promotion of Bucks New Usage

 

Volunteer - As Volunteer Ambassador, you will be responsible for:

  • Organisation of volunteering opportunities within the University
  • Organisation of Student Volunteer Week Running the activities and keeping registers 
  • Assisting with Logging volunteer hours Promotion of Benefits Gaining Feedback

 

Student Development - As Student Development Ambassador you will be Working closely with the Training and Development Coordinator and Course Reps to ensure we are providing a diverse, developmental, and fun. 

  • Promote all recreational and developmental opportunities across all campuses.
  • Identify opportunities to share the program across all the media channels of the Union
  • Contribute to the planning and execution of the Union’s STRIVE Employability Festival
