Career and Placement Opportunities
We are excited to be hosting a number of local and national employers at our event who will be available for you to find out more about their organisation and what it would be like to work for them. They might even be advertising upcoming jobs that you might like to apply for
We will be working directly with your course teams to try and ensure that there are relevant opportunities available to all of our members. Course team staff and the BNU Careers team will also be attending to give you tips and advice on taking your next steps after leaving university.
There will be a number of charities at the event, with volunteering opportunities on offer to help you gain some industry experience, boost your volunteering hours and enhance your CV. Volunteering is also a great opportunity to do some good and get involved in something that you believe in.
STRIVE Festival is also a fantastic way for you to practice your key networking skills as you meet university and Students’ Union staff, other students as well as the employers attending the event. This really is a great opportunity to build your contact base and find out a bit more about options available to you when you leave university. You're next LinkedIn connection might just be the friend you need to get your foot in the door.
There will be opportunities throughout the day for you to win some of our prizes we have on offer, not to mention the free breakfast food.
It is never too early to start thinking about your career so whether you're in your first or final year, STRIVE Festival is an event you won't want to miss.
This year you'll also have the chance to attend some really amazing workshops from local professionals who will be sharing their experience, letting you in on their best tips, and answering your questions. Free tickets are already available to book for 'Selling yourself to employers', Preparing for work in the office, LinkedIn and networking and 'More than Marketing'.
Time for you to ask
We're excited to announce that we will be hosting two Q&A panels this year. One will feature four of our BNU Alumni who have been exactly where you are now and have so much to share with you.
