School Officer

As school officer you would head up representation in your school, liaising with student reps to ensure that you have a sound understanding of the issues affecting students across the range of courses within your school.

One of your key responsibilities as school officer would be to gather and report the feedback of student reps to the Students’ Union. You will also be required to help the Representation team throughout the year with various admin tasks associated with the student rep offer. These include collating feedback for Programme Committee Meetings and hosting Student Leader Socials with student reps and other student leaders. Full details will be provided to those appointed.

We are looking for one school officer per school,: one for Art, Design and Performance, one for Aviation and Security, one for Business and Law, one for Creative and Digital Industries, one for Health and Social Care Professions, one for Human and Social Sciences and one for Nursing and Midwifery. School Officer numbers are dependent each year on student numbers and breadth of work to be completed.
