Hi, my name is Kate Gordon and I'm the Executive Officer for Disabilities for this academic year. I applied and accepted this role to help support students with disabilities and bring more awareness to hidden disabilities that impact people on a daily basis.
This has started with a podacast I released with Honor, the Students' Union President, over Invisible Disabilities Week followed by plans for upcoming events to bring awareness and acceptance of invisible disabilities. I have managed to pass on the help I received to a few people that I have met in the mixers that occurred during freshers' week and on Wednesday 20 October. It was great to meet everyone who attended and hopefully we will run another one soon.
