As we head in the last month of term, let's take a moment to celebrate some brilliant members from the past month. Each month, we like to highlight the hardwork of some of our fantatstic members who have gone above and beyond, from student reps to sports clubs, we're excited to hear about all the wonderful things you've been getting up to.
Club of the month – Congratulations to Rugby who have shown great commitment within our volunteering sector this November. Including Christmas card selling, the Big Sleep Out, litter picking, Pictures for RAG, Bucks New Usage, and most notably, Movember. When their games have been called off they have continued to show high engagement within volunteering as well as supporting other teams home and away.
Society of the month - Nursing this month have run a drug calculation session and a brew with Sue, whilst also helping students with their exams by providing A&P sheets. On top of that they got involved in the Big Sleep Out and raised just under £200.
Volunteer of the month - Eleanor Lee has reached her Platinum volunteer award this month. Ellie is a committee member for Musical theatre, she is volunteering each weekend with Theatre Shed a company who work with people who have special needs in Performing Arts. Ellie has also completed the Big Sleep Out, One Can trust, and will be involved in Musical theatre’s tour of care homes to provide some festive fun for residence.
Rep of the month - Hassan Nisar has been highly proactive in gathering both positive and constructive feedback from students within these courses on their experience concerning their modules. He is very receptive to feedback and ensures this feedback is relayed to the right people, whether that's the course leaders, module tutors, or the head of school.
Congratulations to everyone!
- Your Sabbatical Team, Charlotte, Jess, Emily, and Brandon.
