As part of #BucksWellbeingMonth we are launching a campaign around breaking the stigma of mental health conditions. The campaign launched on Monday 12 October with a week-long Kahoot Quiz where you can learn more about the definitions of mental health disorders. We had a range of mental health conditions where we asked you to chose what you thought the correct definition was for each of them.
We have had over 100 of you take part in the 'Break the Stigma’ quiz, sharing what you thought was the correct definition of a range of mental health conditions including, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Anxiety, Schizophrenia and Bipolar.
Based on the results from the quiz, we'll be running an awareness campaign around the mental health conditions. We'll be bringing you the information across our social media and your Vice President Education and Welfare, Natasha Neal, will be bringing to light what these conditions really mean. Natasha will be taking over our Instagram stories each week to bring you all the information, share resources and help you Break the Stigma of mental health conditions.
Don’t forget for every time you use the hashtag #BucksWellbeingMonth we will invest 50p into a mental health focused student activity or service to be run by Bucks Mind.
If at anytime you feel you need someone to talk to, remember you can reach out to our Advice Centre who can offer you confidential advice, support or signposting on any issues you may be facing.
