Joining a club helped me

Moving to uni and being in a completely new environment without knowing anyone else was really daunting for me, and it will be for anyone else.

Being in a club helped me a lot – from making a lot of friends to getting my fitness in. I joined a few clubs and the memberships were all free and now I'm part of the BNU Swans All-star Cheersquad and Bucks Men’s Volleyball. Through these sports teams, I found family and now share a really close bond with them. I also got the chance to be nominated as Fresher of the Year at the annual awards night, participated in Varsity, and went to Croatia. I’m glad I joined, and I encourage everyone to do the same.
