As my tenure as Vice President Education and Welfare comes to an end, I wanted to just take the time to thank you all for your support this past year.
Hi all, I hope you’re all keeping well. As my tenure as Vice President Education and Welfare comes to an end, I wanted to just take the time to thank you all for your support this past year. I have mentioned countless times before, but I truly never thought I would be in a position such as this in my life. This job has been full of enriching opportunities for my own personal development, as well as providing me the opportunity to give back to all of you through a variety of campaigns and initiatives.
I am proud to have supported different pockets of our student body to ensure that they have the best time here at Bucks. This was achieved through campaigns centred around care leavers, in which we provided various activities for students staying in the local area over various holidays. We also highlighted various disabilities through the academic year through awareness days and weeks. Not to mention, through Harolds Hydration we have also promoted physical health encouraging students on proper hydration and the benefits that come with it! All these initiatives tie in strongly with my core values of promoting positive mental health and representation on a broad scale.
I have no doubt that my successor, Erin, will do a wonderful job in continuing the initiatives that I’ve set out, as well as implementing her own ideas to improve the overall student experience. With it all ending, I would like to give my gratitude to all of those who have been with me throughout my journey at university, it has truly meant the world, and I will cherish the memories I made for years to come.
Signing off,
Harry xo
