Meeting with Emma Reynolds MP to Strengthen Support for Students
Today, I had the privilege of meeting with Emma Reynolds MP, Member of Parliament for the Wycombe Constituency and Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, along with her fantastic team. As President of Bucks Students’ Union, I attended the meeting to represent our student community and to speak about the ongoing collaboration between Bucks Students’ Union and Buckinghamshire New University, a partnership that continues to grow stronger every day.
Celebrating What’s Working
During the meeting, I shared how proud I am of our partnership with the University, especially through The Big Deal, which gives every student free access to sports, societies, and activities. It’s one of the many ways we’re tackling the cost of living while also creating a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive student experience. I also spoke about some of our upcoming projects and initiatives that aim to enhance wellbeing, engagement, and inclusion for all students at BNU.

Emma and her team were very open to these conversations and showed a real commitment to working together with Bucks Students’ Union to find solutions and improve outcomes for students across Wycombe.
Looking Ahead
It was fantastic to have such a productive meeting and to see genuine enthusiasm for supporting students. I’m really excited about the potential of this partnership and confident that by working together, we can make a meaningful difference to student life at BNU.
