Netball is one of the largest female sports clubs at BNU. We are made up of three teams – two of which compete competitively in the British University & College Sports (BUCS) leagues, and one development squad.
This year, our 1st team will be competing in tier 7 and our 2nd team will be competing in tier 10 of the South Eastern League, and the 3rd team will be competing in friendly matches. Last year, the first team came out fighting, winning some tough games for the first time in 2 years. The seconds also had a few wins and nail-biting matches and, having a third team was also a first! Overall, we had a really successful year and cannot wait to continue this for the upcoming year.
Training for all teams takes place every Tuesday from 7-9pm. Game Days are every Wednesday; the times and locations for all games for each team can be found on the BUCS Play App. After our games, we have a social every Wednesday which consists of meeting up as a club, playing a few games and often dressing up as something silly!
The club welcomes everyone who wishes to play, regardless of ability or experience, or whether you want to play competitively, for fun, or just come along for the fitness. We
also welcome any social members who wish to get involved with that side of things, rather than the Netball.
