STRIVE is coming!!
Save the date - Monday 26th February to Friday 1st March
We have lots scheduled for STRIVE, More is being scheduled as we speak!
Kings Active Foundation, The Royal Navy and many more have already signed up for our Networking Event!!
Our week has been planned with plenty of workshops and panels for you to attend. We have CV builders, LinkedIn Profile workshops, Public Speaking and Mental Health Awareness sessions.
There are three different talks from outside companies to share their experience and expertise in their field.
- Starting off with a Cyber Security where you will learn about the growing industry, where there are a lot of opportunities for growth and development. It is an industry that has the potential to be lucrative, but it also comes with a lot of responsibility. During the session you could be discussing possible career paths and sharing lessons learned.
- Next there is a session on starting a business from someone who had no business education. Charlie will talk about the important lessons he wish he had learned before he started a business. He owns a gym which he opened 5 years ago with a very limited understanding of what that would entail! It's been a steep learning curve of immense errors, misplaced loyalty, soaring highs and crushing lows and an overwhelming desire to keep going!
- Lastly we have a talk on building your own business from a successful business owner. Jake wi;; be talking about: Coming up with a business idea, administering a business, creating a brand, developing a product/service, understanding what it takes to run a business and recommending resources to help you along the way.
You can sign up to all of our sessions on our What's On page.
STRIVE was launched in 2020 with the aim to support our members in reaching their career goals. Our festival is the perfect opportunity to improve your employability skills and expand your network in a week filled with activities designed to help you succeed.
