Transport & Address:
The minibus will be running as usual for anybody who wishes to get a lift from the Lido car park (The Rye, High Wycombe). The bus will leave at 10.00am promptly.
Or you can meet us on site at 10.15am. We will meet on Herbert Road Service Road, by the 5 bar vehicle gate next to Ash Hill Primary School. Free parking is available on Herbert Road. The nearest postcode is: HP13 7HW.
Please can we ask everyone to arrive on time to ensure you do not miss the health & safety and task briefing. If you are late and the session has already started, you may not be able to join. Thank you.
The Task:
Before we indulge ourselves in a delicious lunch and oodles of scrumptious cakes, we need to work up our appetite and clear lots of excess vegetation and rake along the bank. And there will be litter picking to keep us busy too.
Please let us know when you book if you have any dietary requirements.
Timings (please note these timings are approximate):
10.00: Minibus departs from Wycombe Lido
10.15: Arrival for safety briefing, please don't be late!
12.00: Thank you lunch!
13.00 Work finishes, time to go home, thanks for your support!
What to Bring:
Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.
Long trousers are advisable as there may be ticks and thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.
Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. If it's sunny you may need a hat and suncream.
Please bring a plenty of fluids. We will bring a tea kit, sandwiches and cakes.
