Overview

This 4 week positive psychology workshop is brought to you by Jacqui York at Qui Coaching. Jacqui’s passion has always been to help and support people in both her business and personal life. Jacqui’s passion for helping others guided her in 2013 to study Counselling and gained a Certificate in Counselling based on Carl Roger’s person---centred theory. Jacqui has studied Applied Positive Psychology at Bucks New University and Jacqui’s goal is to practice Psychological coaching using her knowledge of Applied Positive Psychology and her person---centred skills both learned and experienced.

Jacqui’s workshop will have a significant influence on emotional resilience and stress reduction, two great skills you can use in your day to day lives as student nurses. Through learning the relevant theory associated with the different types of resilience, you’ll gain a broader understanding of resilience altogether as well as developing your skill set by using a number of techniques that you can put into practice. In addition, the opportunity to reduce stress is always welcomed and with being in such a high-pressure role as student nurses both in and out of practice, this workshop will provide you with all of the necessary tools to do this effectively.

Attending this event will give you transferable skills in the following:

  • decision making
  • verbal communication
  • Interpersonal skills
  • relaxation techniques
  • stress management
