This years Interprofessional Learning (IPL) conference is happening on Wednesday 13th May 2026.
Interprofessional learning has long been an established part of learning and teaching across Buckinghamshire New University’s professional, statutory, and regulatory body (PSRB) programmes and other health and social care courses. Students across the College already experience a range of opportunities to learn alongside, and about, other professions through shared teaching, simulation, practice learning, case-based activities, and multidisciplinary discussion.
Bucks Students Union and the Institute for Health and Social Care are delighted to invite all pre-registration Health and Social Care students to attend this exciting event. This year’s programme features a diverse range of speakers, training sessions, and interactive activities designed to help you develop essential professional skills.
In previous years, IPL has focused on a full day of training and simulation. This year, the simulation element will take place on a separate date (to be confirmed).
The day will begin with a welcome talk from Bethany Jackson and Amy Pile, followed by a variety of sessions running throughout the day. Each hour will offer at least three sessions, allowing you to choose those most relevant to your interests and learning needs.
Sessions will cover a broad spectrum of topics, ranging from specialist areas to more general training that is valuable for all Health and Social Care professionals.
A few refreshments will be provided through the day.
The day will conclude with a speaker panel and Q&A featuring current Health and Social Care professionals, offering valuable insights into working within a multidisciplinary team.
