About us

Welcome to the Midwifery Society at BNU! We aim to provide a friendly, inclusive and support community where student midwives can connect, learn, collaborate and grow together.

Whether you're just starting your Midwifery journey, coming to the end of your degree, or just have an interest in maternity care and women's health, this is the place for you!

We offer a friendly, inclusive community for student's in any cohort, with a member of the committee on each campus.

Join us as we expand our knowledge, build connections and friendships, and celebrate all of our achievements.

Inclusivity

We are an all-inclusive society where everyone is welcome. We aim to create a safe, supportive and inclusive space where students can share experiences, ask questions, learn from one another and feel part of a community.

Collaboration

We believe that working alongside others broadens our understanding, knowledge and skills, whilst encouraging a multidisciplinary approach from the beginning of our careers.

We would love to collaborate with other midwifery societies, healthcare professionals, educational institutions and organisations to create opportunities for our members to learn, connect and develop their professional networks.

Collaboration also allows us to maximise the opportunities we can offer our members whilst keeping events and activities accessible. By working together, we can share resources and costs, such as collaborating on online workshops, guest speakers, study sessions and social events.

So, what's not to like? ✨

Whether you're looking to expand your knowledge, meet fellow student midwives, build your professional network, or simply take some time to socialise and look after yourself, we'd love for you to get involved!

Please get in touch — we'd love to hear from you and have you as part of our society.
