Erin Cook
Continued support at BNU.
My name is Erin, your current Vice President Education and Welfare, and I am running to stay as your next Vice President Education and Welfare for 2026/27.
My campaign points include an academic and education focus, and wellbeing and mental health. I would focus on the academic and educational aspects of your experience as a student to advocate for the best education you can achieve whilst at BNU. I would do this through student feedback, promoting clearer communication, and exam and essay preparation support. I would focus on the wellbeing and mental health of our members throughout their time at BNU, as I know through experience, it can be a challenging time being at university. I would like to ensure that, despite struggling with mental health at university, students feel supported through the support services and the community that surrounds them.
A little about me. I was previously a School Officer, Student Rep and Union Council Chair whilst I was a student. I worked very closely with the Representation Team during my time in my various roles. I was also a member of the Leadership Academy. I am currently in the VPEW role, where I have created professional relationships with staff within the Students’ Union and wider University community. I work closely with the Mental Health Provision and would continue working closely with them if I am re-elected.
Your education matters, but so does your wellbeing. Success comes from supporting you in every aspect.
