Care, Commitment, and Change
I am an RNDA second-year student from the January 2025 cohort, standing for Student Trustee because I genuinely care about improving the student experience, strengthening our community, and ensuring every voice is heard and respected.
This is my second year representing my cohort, and I have remained approachable, reliable, and committed. I regularly support students with academic challenges, module concerns, emotional well-being, and everyday pressures. I believe in having open arms for all students, including international students and those balancing multiple responsibilities.
Alongside my studies, I have taken part in fundraising activities in support of Cancer Research and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, while also working as a Healthcare Support Worker. I have also pledged to shave my head in solidarity with individuals who have not had the choice to lose their hair, including those living with alopecia. These actions reflect my compassion, courage, and commitment to standing with others. I am guided by strong values of integrity — doing what is right even when no one is watching — and accountability in everything I do. As a future registered nurse, I understand the importance of advocacy, honesty, and service.
Many students have raised concerns about IT issues that delay lectures and disrupt learning. If elected, I will work with the Students’ Union and University teams to raise these concerns at the board level and push for practical solutions.
As a woman balancing motherhood, studies, and work, I have learned resilience, organisation, and determination. I am not defined by challenges but strengthened by them.
As your Student Trustee, I will promote fairness, transparency, well-being, and inclusion. I will work collaboratively with officers, staff, and students to create lasting improvements.
Vote for Care, Commitment, and Change (Listening, Leading, Delivering for Students) — together, we can build a stronger, more supportive student experience.
