“Your voice at trustee level”

I am standing for the role of Student Trustee because I believe students should have a strong, informed voice at the highest level of decision making within Bucks Students’ Union. The Trustee Board plays a vital role in shaping the Union’s direction, and I want to ensure that students’ interests remain at the heart of those decisions.

My motivation comes from my experience representing students and understanding how strategic choices directly affect student life, wellbeing, and opportunities. I am passionate about fairness, transparency, and inclusive leadership, and I want to contribute responsibly to the long-term success of the Union as a student led community.

I currently serve as the President of the Indian Society and was elected as Societies Council Chair. Through these roles, I have represented diverse student communities, chaired meetings, and worked closely with Union staff and student leaders. This experience has strengthened my ability to listen carefully, communicate clearly, and make balanced decisions that reflect the wider student body.

As a Student Trustee, I will focus on ensuring meaningful student representation at Board level, supporting transparent decision making, and contributing to discussions on the Union’s strategic and financial responsibilities. Having worked closely with societies, I understand the importance of sustainable support for student led initiatives and will advocate for fair and responsible policies. I am committed, organised, and aware of the responsibility that comes with being a Trustee. I will act with integrity, professionalism, and respect for diversity, while always keeping students’ best interests in mind. Being a Student Trustee is about trust, accountability, and impact. With my leadership experience and commitment to student representation, I am ready to contribute positively to Bucks Students’ Union.
