Mental Health Awareness Week, running from May 12th to 18th, 2025, is a time to reflect, recharge, and reconnect. This year’s theme, “The Power of Community”, highlights how simple, shared moments can have a profound impact on our mental wellbeing. The Counselling and Mental Health Service is collaborating with DFSS teams, the Student Union, the Gym Team and the Recruitment and Outreach Team to put a fantastic line of activities for this event!
Whether it’s a conversation, a creative outlet, or a group activity, community is key to feeling supported and seen. That’s why we’re inviting all students to take part in Wellness Within Reach, a free event designed to uplift, connect, and celebrate the strength of our student community.
No booking needed, just drop in!
What’s On?
Creative Activities to De-Stress:
- Tote bag painting

- Bracelet making/ Lacemaking
- Handprint mural
- Stress-free painting station
Active Wellness Sessions:
- 🧘♀️ Tai Chi Class at 12:15 PM in the Rooftop Garden – led by the Gym Team
- 🚶♂️ Wellbeing Walk around The Rye at 12:15 PM – meet at the Garden Café

Monday: 6:15 PM – Dance Fit (45 mins)
Tuesday: 12:15 PM – Yogalates (45 mins)
Wednesday: 6:10 PM – Group Cycling (45 mins)
Friday:
- 6:30 AM – Bootcamp (45 mins)
- 12:15 PM – Pilates (45 mins)
- 5:15 PM – Zumba (45 mins)
