Title: Family Concerts: Roots of Music

Time: 1pm (60 minutes plus time to meet musicians and try out instruments)

Location: Beeston Library, Foster Avenue, Beeston, Nottingham, NG9 1AE

 

Description: 

Join us for an exciting family concert exploring the roots of music!

A vibrant journey through the rhythms, melodies, and traditions from around the world that have shaped the music we love today.

This interactive concert will have you clapping, tapping, and maybe even dancing along as we discover how different cultures have influenced everything from pop and jazz to hip hop and classical music. After the concert, the fun continues with a hands-on session where children can try out a variety of instruments and make some music of their own.

Come ready to listen, learn, and play – it’s going to be a musical adventure!

For children aged 7 – 11 and their grown-ups

Running time: 60 minutes (plus time to meet the musicians and try out instruments)
