You don't need to print off your Eventbrite ticket!
The Task:
Help us to create 'window on the wye'!
Working along the banks of the Wye, we will be removing buddleia and bramble along with other vegetation to clear space. The roadside trees need some pruning and a tidy up. We will also be coppicing hazel and creating a scallop to boost biodiversity at this spot. There will be plenty of litter picking and some tree guards that we need to remove.
Timings (please note these timings are approximate):
10.00: Minibus departs from Lido, please don’t be late!
10.15: Arrival on site for safety briefing
11.30: Tea & coffee break
13.00: Minibus arrives back at Lido, work finishes, time to go home!
What to Bring:
Please bring your gloves (we will have spares) and dress for the weather and the task.
Long trousers are advisable as there may be ticks and thorny vegetation. We also recommend wearing steel toe capped or sturdy boots rather than trainers.
Wear layers that you can remove if you get hot whilst working. Bring a waterproof as most of our sites have no shelter from the rain. If it's sunny you may need a hat and suncream.
Please bring a plenty of fluids. We will bring a tea kit and biscuits.
