Description:
The 1-Day Emergency First Aid at Work training for the EFAW qualification equips you with basic life-saving first aid skills, as well as an understanding of workplace health and safety regulations. This FAIB accredited emergency first aid course is recognised by SIA.
This course complies with Health and Safety (first aid) Regulations 1981 and updates learners of any change in practice and guidelines.
Modules Breakdown:
- Minor cuts, grazes, splinters, and burns
- Choking
- Shock
- Wounds and bleeding
- Diabetes
- Asthma
- Strokes
- Anaphylactic shock
- Heart attacks and angina
- Unconscious colleagues
- AED (external defibrillator)
- Illnesses
- Bruises, sprains, strains
- Scalds
The course will also educate employees on how to handle a wide range of specific work-related situations, as well as teaching them cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
EFAW Exams and Assessment:
Candidates will be assessed by their trainer throughout the day to ensure that all learning outcomes are achieved.
Successful learners will receive an FAIB-accredited emergency first aid at work qualification.
Entry Requirements:
There are no entry requirements for this emergency first aid at work course.
However, candidates must be physically able to carry out the procedures required to meet HSE assessment criteria
