Taking place with Bucks Students’ Union, Give It a Go Fortnight gives students the chance to try out a huge range of activities, sports, societies and volunteering opportunities – with no pressure to commit to anything straight away.
Whether you’re looking to meet new people, get active, learn a new skill or simply try something completely different, there’s something for everyone.
Never tried it before? Give it a go!
You might have always wanted to try a new sport, get involved in a society or take part in a creative activity, but never quite got around to it. Give It a Go Fortnight is the perfect excuse.
You could try something you’ve never done before, join an activity with friends or even turn up on your own. You don’t need to be an expert, and you certainly don’t need to know anyone beforehand.
These activities are designed to give you the chance to have a go and see what you think.
Make friends along the way
One of the best things about getting involved is meeting people outside your course.
Heading along to an activity can be an easy way to start a conversation, especially if you’re new to university or still finding your feet. You might arrive knowing nobody and leave with a new group of friends – or at least a funny story to tell!
University isn’t just about lectures and assignments. It’s also a chance to discover new interests and make the most of your time at university.
