It's the very last day of term and we want to celebrate some brilliant members from the past month. Each month, we like to highlight the hardwork of some of our fantatstic members who have gone above and beyond, from student reps to sports clubs, we're excited to hear about all the wonderful things you've been getting up to.
Rep of the month - Callum Henry and Davide Berardi - This month we are thrilled to announce that we have not one but two winners for Decembers Rep of the Month. Both students stood out at their Programme Committee Meetings and demonstrated fantastic active participation which we greatly encourage as a Students’ Union within these meetings to enhance the student experience. Congratulations to Callum Henry (Animation, Visual Effects, and 3D Game Art L6) and Davide Berardi (Fashion and Textiles L5) for your participation in your PCM’s and being this month’s winners.
Society of the month - Yet again Musical Theatre (MT) have been outstanding this month. Their community efforts have not gone unnoticed – they have been volunteering at Theatre Shed, performed in the Christmas light switch on and organised a Musical Theatre tour of the local care homes to perform Christmas songs to the residents. They also organised a small Christmas showcase raising money for the society and showing off all the talent MT has to offer.
Club of the month - On and off the court netball has been working hard. They have kept on top of the admin, pushed volunteering opportunities and their playing performance has been fantastic. The way they have conducted themselves as a club has been outstanding and real credit to the Students’ Union.
Volunteer of the month - Chloe Hayes is always available to give a hand and will complete any task with a smile. As a Committee member of Musical Theatre and member of Women’s Hockey, Chloe has completed many community hours and has helped with packing hampers, selling Christmas cards, putting up winter feel good week posters, poppy selling, One Can Trust, and has participated in the Musical Theatre tour of care homes performing for residents.
Congratulations to everyone. It's been a fantastic first term of activity and we're so excited to see what next term, and the new year, bring.
