Hey everyone! I hope you’ve been enjoying the sun and looking after your wellbeing. As my term in office comes to an end, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support for the campaigns, events, and activities I have run. I have learned so much in my role as Vice President Education and Welfare (HW), had many opportunities, and many successes. I feel so lucky to have taken this year to do these things, and this role has been so amazing. I never thought I would be in this position, and I have you all to thank for that!
I am so proud to say we’ve covered so much, from Mental Health Awareness, Disability Awareness, and, most personally for me, Epilepsy Awareness. I’ve also had so many great opportunities to work with so many colleagues throughout the Students’ Union and the University.
I’ve been part of Bucks Students’ Union for 3 years, from Student Rep, School Officer, Union Council Chair, and now, Vice President Education and Welfare. The Rep Team and Jess Hughes have been a massive part of my journey. All the staff in Bucks Students’ Union have been so supportive and the best colleagues.
To the new officers stepping in, I believe in you, and you’ve got this! And my successor, Julia, I have full faith in you, and I know you’re going to do an amazing job as Vice President Education and Welfare 2026/27.
Finally, thank you to my Officer Team, Bethany, Jimmy and Joe. I have said it before, and I’ll say it again: I couldn’t have asked for a better team to spend my year in office with. You’ve all been so supportive. You’ve all helped with my campaigns, listened to my ideas and made this year the best.
