Meet Feba Shaji George - VPSACE

bannervpsace

Hey everyone, I’m Feba your Vice President Student Affairs and Campus Experience (VPSACE)

So let me tell you a little about myself...my journey at BNU began as an international student studying MSc Physician Associate Studies and I understand the importance of feeling welcomed, supported, and included in a new environment. During my time here, I’ve had the opportunity to be involved with the Students’ Union in several leadership roles, including being a Fresher Helper, College Officer and Voice Officer. Each of these experiences allowed me to connect with students, understand the challenges they face, and appreciate the importance of having a strong student voice and develop skills in communication, leadership, and creating positive change.

Now, as your Vice President Student Affairs and Campus Experience or VPSACE, because I know it’s quite a long title, I want to bring everything I have learned into this role and continue working towards making student life at Bucks the best it can be.

I truly believe that university is about more than just a degree, it’s about the people you meet, the experiences you create, and feeling like you belong. Whether you are starting your first year, returning for another year, or joining us from another country, every student should feel welcomed, supported, and valued.

My role is based at Uxbridge and Nottingham campuses and is about ensuring that student voices are heard and that students have opportunities to shape their university experience. I want to work alongside students to understand what matters most to you, celebrate the amazing things happening across our campuses, and help create positive changes where they are needed.

Having experienced university life as both a student and a Students’ Union representative, I understand that everystudent journey is different. Some days will be exciting and full of opportunities, while others may feel challenging. My aim is to be someone students can approach, whether you have an idea to share, feedback to give, or simply need someone to listen.

This year, I’m excited to meet more of you, hear your stories, and work together to build a campus community where everyone feels connected, supported, and proud to be part of Bucks.

What I Want to Achieve Together?

SU Visibility and Awareness:

Making sure students know who the Students’ Union is, what support and services are available, and how they can get involved.

Student Wellbeing and Mental Health:

Continuing to support student wellbeing through awareness, initiatives, and ensuring students know where to access support.

Academic and Student Experience:

Working to improve the overall student experience, including areas such as placements, academic support, and opportunities for students to thrive.

Creating New Opportunities:

I know that throughout the year new challenges, ideas, and opportunities may come up, and I’m excited to work alongside students to adapt, grow, and make the most of them together.

What do I do outside of work?

I love listening to music, watching movies, baking, trying new food and shopping (oh wow, how could I forget shopping?!) but most importantly, having heartfelt conversations with family and friends."
