Wellbeing Month

We are delighted to be collaborating with The Clare Foundation to deliver Bucks Students’ Union’s first Wellbeing Month!

The Clare Foundation is a local charity which aims to make Buckinghamshire the happiest county in Britain. Their mission is to bring their forces together to tackle the root causes of unhappiness.

They facilitate multi-stakeholder projects and programmes bringing together charities, businesses, and key infrastructure organisations such as Buckinghamshire Council. They offer free advice and support to charities and not-for-profit organisations in order to help them become more effective and efficient both informally and through formal programmes such as their Charity and Middle le Leader Forums, Charity Excellence Programme and the Bid Writing Support Programme.

Launching on Monday 12 October we will be launching our first ever Wellbeing Month filled with activities all designed to help you stay well - and thanks to the Big Deal and The Clare Foundation everything is free!

We have everything from weekly exercise classes to get those endorphins pumping, wellbeing workshops and talks from renowned TEdx speakers, mental health training courses, and even a few freebies for you!

Throughout the month we will also be running the ‘Positivity project’ to encourage you to spread your positive vibes around campus and online. To help spread a little joy and selfcare, we’ll be giving away Wellbeing Boxes for students which you can collect from the Students’ Union foyer.

Our ‘Honest Hour’ sessions will run with our fantastic team of Executive Officers and you can speak openly about your personal experiences and hear how the Students’ Union can instigate action to make your life at Bucks even better.

All of our activities will be advertised on the ‘What’s On’ page and across our social media so make sure to keep an eye out to take part. We know things are a little different this year and sessions will take place either online or in environments following Covid-safe guidance and we will endeavour to have a balance between both online and in person options to ensure that all students can take part.

We'd like to say a big thank you to our partner, The Clare Foundation, for their continued support in providing activities to make life better for students at Bucks.

As always, if you have any questions or require support with anything at all, just get in touch with one of our team.
