Meet Your New Sabbatical Officers for 2026–27
We’re excited to introduce your new Sabbatical Officer team for the 2026–27 academic year!
Our elected officers are here to represent your voice, champion student issues, and work alongside students and the University to help create the best possible experience for everyone at BNU.
Following this year’s elections, four students have been elected to take on full-time roles within the Students’ Union. Together, they make up your Sabbatical Officer team and will spend the year campaigning on the issues that matter most to students, improving the student experience, and ensuring your voices are heard.
Meet your new officers
Jimmy – Students’ Union President
Jimmy will lead the officer team and represent students across the University, the local community, and the wider higher education sector. As President, Jimmy will work to strengthen the relationship between students, the Students’ Union, and the University, while campaigning on the issues that matter most to BNU students.
Julia – Vice President Education and Welfare
Julia will focus on improving the educational experience and wellbeing of students at BNU. Working closely with course representatives, the Advice Centre, and the University, Julia will ensure students’ academic concerns are heard and that students receive the support they need throughout their studies.
Akhil – Vice President Achievement and Belonging
Akhil will focus on enhancing the wider student experience, including opportunities through societies, sports, volunteering, and employability. Akhil will work to make sure every student feels included, supported, and able to get involved in university life.
Feba – Vice President Student Affairs and Campus Experience
Feba will focus on supporting students studying across our smaller campuses, primarily based at Uxbridge with involvement at Nottingham. Working alongside the Vice President Education and Welfare, Representation team, and Advice Centre, Feba will champion student voices across campuses and support initiatives that promote wellbeing, belonging, and a positive student experience.
