Our Ashad 15th (Dahi Chiura) celebration was a joyful gathering filled with authentic Nepalese flavours, culture, and togetherness. Students and friends came together to enjoy the traditional combination of curd and beaten rice, share laughter, connect with each other, and celebrate this special Nepalese tradition in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Our Gorkhali Fusion Night was an unforgettable celebration of Nepalese culture, creativity, and connection. The evening brought together traditional heritage and modern entertainment through lively music, energetic performances, dance, and exciting activities. Students and friends shared laughter, created memories, and enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere that showcased the spirit, diversity, and unity of the Nepalese community.
Our Tihar and Diwali celebration was a remarkable success, bringing together the Nepalese and Indian Societies in a beautiful collaboration of culture, traditions, and friendship. The event celebrated unity and togetherness through vibrant performances, cultural exchange, sharing each other’s traditional foods, and learning about our rich heritages. It was a memorable evening that strengthened bonds and showcased the beauty of diversity.
The Nepalese Society at Buckinghamshire New University is a vibrant and welcoming community that celebrates the rich culture, traditions, and diversity of Nepal while creating a home away from home for students. We bring people together through exciting cultural celebrations, social gatherings, sports, workshops, charity initiatives, and networking opportunities, creating a space where friendships flourish and lifelong memories are made. Throughout the year, we proudly celebrate festivals such as Dashain, Tihar, Teej, Nepalese New Year, and Holi, sharing the beauty of our traditions with students from all backgrounds. Our events are filled with colourful cultural performances, traditional music, energetic dances, games, and interactive activities that showcase the spirit of Nepal. No celebration is complete without authentic Nepalese cuisine, where many delicious dishes bring everyone together to enjoy the flavours of home. Whether you are Nepalese, have an interest in Nepalese culture, or simply want to meet new people and experience something unique, our society welcomes everyone with open arms.
